THE CONCEPT
Prison Experience was born from a desire to offer something new to escape room fans in Barcelona.
Prison Experience was created with one goal: to build an escape room unlike any other. What if we went a step further than just realistic set design?
What if players wore inmate uniforms instead of their regular clothes? What if overhearing a guard’s conversation was the missing clue to unlock the next challenge?
What if the threat of getting caught felt real? These were the questions that led to the creation of the three intense games we now offer.

This isn’t just about solving puzzles. Here, you’ll need to stay calm and keep your head down when a guard walks past your cell.
That contraband you just found? It’s not decoration – it’s a bargaining chip. There’s no countdown clock ticking away – only prison sirens warning of an incoming cell inspection.
And forget about a smiling Game Master – the guards who open the door will treat you like a real inmate, no mercy.
A 550-square-meter prison set in the heart of Barcelona.
The Clot Penitentiary opened in 1975 as one of the most secure and heavily guarded prisons in Europe. Thanks to its 360º surveillance cameras and relentless security rounds, not a single escape attempt was ever recorded… until recently.
Javier Cortés de la Raya – a convict with a genius-level IQ (disguised by a rebellious attitude and a raspy voice) – pulled off a legendary escape by slipping through all three blocks of the prison. While the details of his escape are still under investigation, inmates whisper that he left behind clues scattered throughout the prison – like breadcrumbs leading to freedom. But only those smart enough to decipher them will ever make it out.
You can choose between three unique prison blocks – each with its own level of difficulty, tension, and interaction. Every game features distinct rooms, live characters, and tailored challenges to make your escape unforgettable. Each module is a standalone experience, with no narrative link or chronological order between them.
Prison Experience can host up to 24 inmates at a time, with a maximum of 8 per module. Looking to book a large group? No problem. Whether it’s a team-building event, a bachelor(ette) party, or just a day out with friends, we can adapt the experience for your crew.
